Alan Loebach, PE is a seasoned civil engineering project manager with over 33 years of experience in transportation, utility, and water resources engineering. An expert in municipal infrastructure projects, he has designed and managed more than 200 capital improvement projects, overseeing every phase from planning, design, cost estimating, bidding, and construction administration. Alan’s portfolio includes large-scale infrastructure initiatives such as combined sewer separation projects, road reconstruction and redesign projects, watermain replacements, green infrastructure, parking lot design and redevelopment and streetscape projects. He has extensive expertise working with MDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) projects and securing permits from federal, state, and local agencies including EGLE, MDOT, US Army Corps of Engineers and the Great Lakes Water Authority.

A graduate of the University of Waterloo with a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Alan has been a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan since 1997. Prior to his time here at Spalding DeDecker, Alan was the Assistant City Engineer and Interim City Engineer for the City of Dearborn, Michigan.

Outside of work, Alan’s many interests include ice hockey, golf, pickle ball, weight lifting, mountain biking, hiking, travel and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
