Angela Fortino is an economic development and urban planning professional with more than 15 years of experience facilitating complex public-private partnerships and municipal programs. Her background includes leading multidisciplinary teams, facilitating complex public and private partnerships, and guiding high-impact community initiatives. She has managed a wide portfolio of projects involving municipal program design, capital improvements, public engagement, and policy development.

A dedicated Detroit resident, she serves on the Board of Directors for the LaSalle Townhouses Cooperative, providing leadership for one of the four residential communities within the Mies van der Rohe Historic District. Her work reflects a strong ability to align planning goals with broader community and economic priorities.

Angela holds a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Western Michigan University. She is also a graduate of Leadership Detroit and the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative.

Outside of her professional and civic commitments, Angela is an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoys hiking, biking, and walking. She shares a passion for travel with her family, frequently visiting new places to explore historic sites, public spaces, and UNESCO World Heritage locations.
