Dan is responsible for managing Spalding DeDecker’s projects and clients in the Grand Rapids region as well as pursuing business opportunities throughout West Michigan.
With nearly 15 years of experience in the private and public sector, including the last 5 years at the city of Kentwood, Dan brings a wealth of expertise on serving the needs of municipalities. He is an expert in asset management; multi-million dollar street maintenance and rehabilitation programs; and underground utilities. Dan earned his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from Calvin College and is a licensed engineer in the State of Michigan. Dan is active in in ASCE, Western Michigan Branch, serving as president from 2015-2016 and was named 2019 Young Engineer of the Year by the MSPE. His hobbies are reading, boating, golf, U of M sports, the Detroit Lions and Tigers. Dan and wife Tracy have two children Megan and Brandon.
