As an assistant project manager, Kyle Bassett, PE, PTOE brings over a decade of experience in traffic engineering and roadway design, delivering complex transportation projects for public and private clients. As a licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), Kyle combines technical expertise with strategic planning to improve safety, efficiency, and accessibility across Michigan’s transportation network. His portfolio spans a wide range of services including traffic impact studies, road safety audits, signal optimization, pedestrian safety planning, and road reconstruction. Kyle’s career includes extensive work with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), and numerous municipalities. He has worked on major projects such as the Gordie Howe International Bridge, Dearborn Transportation Equity Study, Joe Louis Greenway, Downtown Pontiac Traffic Study, and multiple Safe Routes to School initiatives. Kyle approaches each project with a data-driven mindset, integrating safety, functionality, and sustainability. In his free time Kyle enjoys snowboarding, concerts, traveling, exploring Michigan’s craft breweries with his wife Jen, and spending time with their pit bull Ed and Maine Coon Jaspurr.
