Spalding DeDecker is offering paid internships across our Civil Engineering, Surveying, Construction Engineering, Land Development, and Planning disciplines. In this position, interns will support project teams by contributing to both field and office tasks, gaining hands-on experience with the technical and operational aspects of several departments. Interns will work alongside engineers, planners, surveyors, and construction staff, gaining exposure to a wide range of project types and workflows.
Candidates should be students pursuing degrees in civil engineering, surveying, planning, or related fields, with a strong interest in practical learning and multidisciplinary project work. The ideal candidate is eager to engage with complex projects, learn from experienced professionals, and build foundational skills that support long-term career growth in the industry.

You will work under the leadership of a licensed Professional Engineer or Surveyor on projects we are working on for our clients. Working alongside other civil engineers, environmental engineers, surveyors and CAD Drafters, you will be out in the field on site visits, in the office designing in AutoCAD or MicroStation, or focused on performing engineering calculations, and much more.
