Survey Technician (Traveling)

Traveling position for out-of-town assignments.  Successful applicants can reside anywhere in the United States and do not need to relocate.

Spalding DeDecker is seeking a Survey Technician to assist our Survey Crew Chiefs in any and all aspects of fieldwork.  In this position, you’ll primarily be working in the field operating survey equipment and instruments and may operate trucks as directed by the Crew Chief on your project. Typical projects include construction layout and as-built measurements on heavy-civil and industrial projects located across the United States.  We focus on surveying for steel erectors, general contractors, and construction managers.  In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to build a solid understanding of the art of Land Surveying through hands-on work experience!  You will be learning a specialized aspect of surveying, with a focus on extreme accuracy in measurement and techniques that are tailored to particular components of the construction process that demand precise positional tolerances.

We currently have a large project in Bay Minette, Alabama, but other assignments are possible.
