Meridian Township Local Roads Program Construction Engineering

Spalding DeDecker (SD) provided contract administration, construction inspection, and materials testing coordination for the 2024 and 2025 Meridian Township Local Roads Program, a major investment in neighborhood infrastructure designed to enhance safety, longevity, and ride quality across the community.

This investment focused on improving neighborhood streets through major hot mix asphalt (HMA) resurfacing and reconstruction on crushed and shaped bases with chemical subgrade stabilization to extend pavement life and reduce future maintenance costs.

The team ensured all construction activities met design plans and specifications, monitored contractor performance, and verified contract compliance to help the Township maximize its local road millage funding. By incorporating cost-effective pavement preservation techniques and emerging stabilization methods, the project delivered safer, smoother roads that will serve residents for years to come.
