Woodland Mall Redevelopment

Spalding DeDecker (SD) has a long-standing relationship with the Woodland Mall and its developers. For over 20 years, SD has delivered comprehensive civil engineering and surveying services for multiple phases of mall expansion and redevelopment.

Major improvements included a new plaza featuring two restaurants, a multiplex theatre, and a site assessment for a Barnes & Noble addition. These projects included detailed topographic surveying, site planning, utility design, and permitting.

Since 2016, SD has played a major role in the mall’s redevelopment, which introduced a 64,000 sq ft expansion, an 87,000 sq ft Von Maur, the Cheesecake Factory, and REI, with additional services including traffic studies, drainage analysis, and roof assessments. SD later supported the construction of Main Event, a 48,690 sq ft entertainment venue requiring extensive coordination with local municipalities and the mall.
