Levan Road Rehabilitation / Reconstruction

Spalding DeDecker (SD) was selected by the City of Livonia to provide design and survey services for the rehabilitation of Levan Road from Schoolcraft Road to Five Mile Road.

The project scope included concrete repairs on the existing roadway and placement of a 3.5” asphalt overlay.  Proposed work also included placing curb caps on the existing integral curbs to maintain a minimum 6″ curb height after the overlay.  ADA ramp upgrades, permanent pavement markings, and permanent signing were performed throughout the project limits.

The project followed the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Local Agency Program (LAP) guidelines.  SD completed the Program Application for the City and coordinated with the MDOT LAP representative throughout the life of the project.
