Community Engagement

We are dedicated to fostering meaningful human connections for successful engagement processes, actionable plans, and impactful projects.

At the outset of a project, we collaborate with our clients to comprehend the project’s objectives and identify key stakeholders, such as partners, collaborators, implementors, decision-makers, and more. Subsequently, we tailor our engagement strategies, customizing various tools to inform, consult, involve, collaborate, and empower participants. We prefer to communicate project information to stakeholders and seek feedback through existing channels including local organization meetings and events, newsletters, and community boards and signs, but also host public town halls and input sessions.

As skilled facilitators, we prioritize creating safe and inclusive environments for collaboration. Additionally, in our community planning services with a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), we adapt community engagement efforts. For instance, we engaged with a community advisor in Delhi, utilized an Arabic interpreter in Hamtramck, and collaborated with multiple community liaisons and neighborhood representatives in Detroit.

Our services are designed to achieve specific outcomes, including ensuring stakeholders feel they have ample opportunities to share input that is heard and considered. We aim for alignment in values, goals, and long-term vision objectives. Furthermore, we foster stakeholder ownership in the implementation phase, allowing them to see their impact on the project. Ultimately, our approach seeks to secure public board and agency approvals for successful project outcomes.
