Start of construction delayed until September

The start of the Ingersol Creek restoration has been delayed until mid-September due to the weather. A critical part of the restoration is planting native vegetation to help stabilize the bank. Because the weather has been so hot and we haven't been getting normal rainfall we are concerned that the plants would not survive. If the plant roots don't set, there is nothing to keep the creek bank from eroding again.
We will be starting on this project next month to make sure that it is complete by the time the fall rainy season gets here. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our project manager, Heather Gendron.

+
Construction is scheduled to begin on Aug. 19th and will last for 4-5 weeks
Ingersol Creek will be undergoing a streambank stabilization project this summer. The project will help water flow in the creek, reduce flooding, and stabilize the streambank reducing erosion. VIL Contracting will be removing debris from the creek as well as placing various stabilization measures throughout the project limits. 2 sections of storm sewer and associated catch basins in Buckingham Ct. will be replaced. Most of the work will be done inside the creek. The contractor will access the creek from Buckingham Ct. and Heathergreen Ct. Equipment and materials will be stored in both courts and possibly along Cranbreek Dr near the stream crossing.Questions? We have answers
