We have a current opening for a Land Survey Project Manager to focus on leading an outstanding team of Survey professionals on pretty amazing projects. Our projects fall in a variety of sectors including, but not limited to, Oil & Gas; Private Land Development; Contractor Staking & Coordination; Municipal Projects; and Industrial Surveying, if you have experience in any of these sectors the position could be right for you!
As a Survey Project Manager with Spalding DeDecker, you’ll oversee field and office staff ensuring that our clients receive the deliverables they need, when they need them. On a regular basis, you’ll be reviewing deliverables, comparing project budgets, performing calculations and legal research, and much more. Your team will look to you to support their professional development ensuring they receive the training necessary for success; they’ll also look to you to develop outstanding relationships with our clients resulting in repeat business opportunities.
Requirements
- Michigan PS License preferred
- 10-15 years of Survey experience including 5 years of Project Management
- AutoCAD Proficiency preferred, but not required
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, and thorough follow-through skills.
- Accuracy, dependability, and strong organizational skills
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with established clients
- Develop project criteria, schedules, and budgets
- Lead multidisciplinary team of surveyors and technicians
- Manage projects from design survey through construction layout
- Lead the development and design of new capital improvement projects from beginning to end
- Maintain existing client relationships
- Assist in the development new clients and opportunities
Work Environment / Physical Demands
Individual must be willing to:
- Work in an office environment
- Attend client meetings and travel by car and/or plane if the project requires it
- Participate in industry events such as conferences, relevant presentations
- Perform site visits
