We are seeking a Survey Technician to assist our Survey Crew Chiefs in any and all aspects of field work. In this position, you’ll primarily be working in the field operating survey and utility locating equipment and you may operate trucks and/or ATV’s as directed by the Crew Chief on your project. In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to build a solid understanding of the art of Land Surveying through hands-on work experience! This is a tremendous opportunity for engineering or surveying students enrolled in night classes looking for a full-time position to enhance their studies!
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- Willingness to learn on the job
- Strong attention to detail and thorough follow-through skills.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy, quality, and thoroughness
- The operation, maintaining, and organizing of trucks
- Safety awareness / Prepared for work every day
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Work outdoors
- Work overtime hours when needed and travel if the project requires it.
- Take direction well and communicate effectively.
- Stand and walk frequently; lift and carry equipment; use hands to handle tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch
