Catherine has worked for Spalding DeDecker for almost four decades, and during her time here she has filled many different positions. Her vast professional experience has grown to encompass the following areas: Survey Field Technician, Survey Office Technician, IT Administrator, Survey Project Manager, Office Manager, Marketing Manager, Vice President, and most recently, Business Development and Marketing Manager. When asked about what she enjoys most about working for SD Catherine stated, “We have a really great team at Spalding DeDecker. It makes coming to work very enjoyable. Also, after working in several different capacities at SD, I have come to really enjoy the marketing and business development side of the business because I get to work with everyone, and every day is unique.”
Catherine has a Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying from Michigan Technological University and associate degrees from Macomb Community College. Additionally, she is a certified Professional Surveyor in Michigan and Ohio, as well as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Florida. Her long list of certifications also includes instructor for First Aid | CPR | AED and Michigan DNR Boating Safety.
When Catherine isn’t spending her time at SD, she enjoys being with her family, volunteering as a Macomb County Sheriff Marine Safety Officer on Lake St. Clair, and photographing everything.
