David Dykman, PE

Project Manager | Construction Engineering

Mr. Dykman is a Design & Construction Project Manager and a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan. His career has spanned over 30 years in both the public and private sectors with a focus on federal, state, and locally funded transportation and utility infrastructure projects. He has substantial municipal design engineering and project management experience including 15 years at the Washtenaw County Road Commission and 14 years with the City of Ann Arbor Engineering Department.

 

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. He is extensively familiar with MDOT design and construction standards together with those for FHWA and AASHTO and has served as the lead engineer for numerous projects administered through the MDOT Local Agency Programs unit. His experience also includes construction contract administration and management, and his unique and practical expertise brings a valuable resource to both the Public and Construction Engineering Departments.

 

In his free time, Dave enjoys playing golf, walking and bicycling, gardening, DYI projects, traveling and spending time with his wife Lori, their two dogs, and three adult sons.
