George graduated from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI with a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying and an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering. As a licensed Professional Surveyor in Michigan, George has spent more than 35 years of his career at Spalding DeDecker, which has given him the opportunity to be involved with some of the best clients and employees in the industry.
George is currently the Director of Surveying and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. When asked about his experience working at Spalding DeDecker, George stated, “Being a long-term employee for Spalding DeDecker has given me a unique perspective of the business and the positive atmosphere of an employee-owned firm.”
In addition to being there for his wife and three adult kids, George believes it is important to give back both time and expertise learned throughout your career to your local community and educational system. He is the Chairman of the Oakland Township Planning Commission and also sits on the Michigan Tech Professional Advisory Board for Civil Engineering and Surveying.
