Urban and Community Planning
Spalding DeDecker’s Planning and GIS Team strives to balance social, economic, and environmental responsibility, build community partnerships, and create impactful urban design in the multiracial, multiethnic, and multicultural urban communities that we serve. Our clients are cities and other local units of government, nonprofit organizations, and private developers, primarily in Michigan.
Our team of professional planners and GIS specialists tailor planning processes (i.e. existing conditions research, engagement and consensus-building activities, and needs assessments) to deliver implementation-focused reports with maps, graphics, and actionable plans. Verbal and written communication is our strength. We collaborate with civil engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, and other colleagues to connect planning and design and move projects forward through approvals and construction.
