Pheasant Run Roadway Maintenance Association (PRRMA) Pavement Evaluation
The Pheasant Run Roadway Maintenance Association (PRRMA) Pavement Evaluation consists of an evaluation of pavements maintained by three subdivisions within PRRMA, recommendations for repair, and the development of a network-wide 10-year work plan. The project included the following elements:
Field Investigation
- Visual inspection of pavement conditions
- Data collection of distresses and their locations
- Concrete sidewalk and curb inspection
- Pavement cores, base samples, and subgrade samples
Data Organization and Pavement Criteria
- Included the segment inventory of the pavements’ condition (including the End of Useful Life), use, priority, and classification
Summary of PRRMA Network
- Included the analysis of the pavements’ Overall Condition Index (OCI), use, priority, and classification as a single pavement network
Summary of Individual Subdivisions
- Included the analysis of the pavements’ OCI, use, priority, and classification of each individual subdivision
10-Year Work Plan Results and Recommendations
- Described the results of the work plan generation
- Output included Budget Summary, Budget Surplus, and Segment Repair Recommendations Reports
- Budget comparison, Backlog, and Work Plan Distribution analysis
Pavement Life
- Typical extended service life gains for various pavement treatments
- Overview of the costs and benefits associated with various preventive maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction repairs
CartéGraph PavementView Plus software was used in the development of the 10-year work plan. The project is currently in the fourth year of the 10-year work plan. SD has prepared construction plans, solicited bids, made bid recommendations, and managed construction for each year of the program to date.
